Govt. Central Model School, Lower Mall, Lahore for its Quality Education and Golden Traditions is one of the Historical Institution in Punjab. It was established in 1883. It was started as a Middle School in the building of Anarkali Girls High School. The present building of the School was constructed in 1887. The School was upgraded as a High School and shifted from Anarkali Girls High School to its present building in 1888. The Junior Wing was started in 1944. The School has a unique building which was included in the list of National Heritage of Pakistan. The School consists of two main wings i.e. Senior Wing and Junior Wing. The building of theSenior Wing further consists of Allama Iqbal Block, Quaid-e-Azam Block, Muhammad Bin Qasim Block, Muhammad Ali Johar Block, Tipu Sultan Block and G.N. Butt Block.
